Silicon Nitride (SIN) is a high-quality material for ring inserts. In some characteristics it is close to FUJI's Silicon Carbide (SIC) , and in all characteristics it is better than Alconite (aluminum oxide). Compared to SIC, SIN inserts have slightly lower hardness, almost the same density and surface cleanliness .
