PS Silicon nitride (SIN) is a high-quality material for ring inserts. According to some characteristics, it is close to silicon carbide (SIC) from FUJI, and according to all characteristics, it is better than Alconite (aluminum oxide). Compared to SIC, SIN inserts have a slightly lower hardness, almost the same density and surface cleanliness . In general, SIN is a more viscous and plastic material, it is less prone to cracks and chips and, at the same time, has very high wear resistance. Inserts from SIN material - NO! is cut with modern fishing lines.
